FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK…..
The word “SCHOOL” is derived from the Greek word “schole”originally meaning “leisure” but later meant to “a group to whom lectures were given”. A school is an educational institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for the teaching of students (or “pupils”) under the direction of teachers. According to Sir John Dewey, the school is an essential and psychological institution. The school is not a place where some dry knowledge is imparted, rather its a place where a child learns by his own personal experiences. The one continuing purpose of education, since ancient times, has been to bring people to as full a realisation as possible of what it is to be a human being. To develop the intellect, to serve social needs, to contribute to the economy, to create an effective work force, to prepare students for a job or career, to promote students for particular social or political system, etc are purposes offered that are undesirably limited in scope, and in some instances they conflict with the broad purpose and they imply a distorted human existence. The broader humanistic purpose includes all of them, and goes beyond them, for it seeks to encompass all the dimensions of human experience.
WORD HOME SCHOOL is an English medium co educational day school following CBSE curriculum and NCERT (National Council for Education Research and Training) guidelines. The pillar of WORD HOME SCHOOL is HONOUR, TRADITION and DISCIPLINE which are self explanatory and itself proclaim the motto of the Institution.
Accordingly, WORD HOME SCHOOL provides the ambience for successful all round development of a child so that he/she can fit into the above mentioned criterion of an educated human being. Our experienced and trained teachers are our assets who provide a child the window of learning and knowledge. The guardians also provide a pivotal role in shaping the child’s development and must work hand in hand with the school for the all round development of the child. The teachers and guardians must also play a role model for their children.
To conclude I must quote Swami Vivekananda who said, “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man. All power is within you; you can do anything and everything. Arise, Awake and stop not till the goal is reached. The secret of life is not enjoyment but education through experience.”
MAY GOD THE ALMIGHTY BLESS ALL MY CHILDREN, PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, TEACHERS AND STAFFS AND ALL MEMBERS OF WORD HOME FAMILY & DMARD MEMORIAL TRUST.
